Infinite open world
The world is procedurally generated and never ends. The farther you travel from spawn, the more dangerous it gets.

CastleMiner Z is coming back in 2026.
The original team is remaking the best selling indie game from the Xbox 360, from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5.
In-engine footage, work in progress
About the game
CastleMiner Z came out on the Xbox 360 in 2011 through Xbox Live Indie Games, and it helped invent the creative survival horror genre. You mined all day, built up your defenses, and hoped the walls would hold when night came. It eventually became the best selling independent title on the Xbox 360.
Resurrection is a complete remake of that game by the original team. The technology the old game ran on is outdated, so we're rebuilding everything in Unreal Engine 5. It falls somewhere between a remake and a sequel. You get the game you remember with a full graphics overhaul and a lot of new features, on an engine we can keep updating for years.

Features
Some of this is already working in the current builds, and some is still on the list. Watch the dev streams to see it come together.
The world is procedurally generated and never ends. The farther you travel from spawn, the more dangerous it gets.
Mine and build while the sun is up. Once night falls the zombies, skeletons, and dragons show up, and you'd better be ready.
Play with your friends or against them. Online multiplayer was a huge part of the original and it's coming back.
Every block in the world can be placed or destroyed. Dig tunnels, wall yourself in, build whatever keeps you alive.
We're keeping the gunplay and enemy behavior close to the original game, just tuned up for the remake.
Endurance, Survival, Creative, Dragon Endurance and more are planned, just like in the original.
